Family Life Programme
The program is one among many in the Pastoral Department and was started in 1994. The institution of the family is the foundation of any social or civil society, the Church and Nation, therefore need for education to parents, young adults preparing for marriage and the community, in order to nurture healthy marriages, strong family circles hence have a responsible society, Church and nation at large.
Objectives:
- Nurture marriage and family life as the domestic Church
- Promote family life as an agent of evangelisation
- Promote the dignity and sacredness of human life
- Foster chastity and holiness of human sexuality
Main activities carried out by the office:
- Educate couples and those preparing for marriage on good, healthy and Godly marriages.
- To educate couples on marital relationship and sexuality.
- To offer education on responsible parenting,
- Fostering marriage and family counseling,
- Child therapy
- Promote social conscience against social evils such as drug abuse, sexual abuse and abortion.
The target population is in 6 zonal regions (Districts)
- Transmara
- Narok South
- Narok North
- Kajiado North
- Kajiado Central
- Loitokitok
The program is run through financial support from well-wishers like you.
