Kilgoris Development Cluster is located in the western end of the Diocese and comprise of Kilgoris, Abossi and Lolgorien parishes. Kilgoris is where the first missionary house and community outreach in Catholic Diocese of Ngong was established in 1955.  The population according to 1999 national census is 70,591 persons, predominantly Maasai.

Development challenges include environmental degradation, inter-ethnic conflict, social injustice, high incidence of preventive diseases and large population of disadvantaged groups such as girl-child, people living with HIV/Aids and persons with disabilities.

Diocesan interventions range from lobbying and advocacy on various issues such as land and child rights. But health interventions historically forms a bigger part of diocesan initiative in this cluster which began with setting up of St. Joseph's Mission Hospital in 1963 and Kilgoris and Abossi PHC/CBHC programmes in 1994 and 1999 respectively. The programme has done quite well by successfully combating malaria menace in the area and imparting local knowledge by training CORPS in improving public health and traditional birth practices.

Health interventions have also been boosted by Diocesan efforts to improving access to portable water and suitable sanitation to the people of TransMara District.

Priority interventions for Kilgoris Development Cluster include livelihoods and youth development, human and children rights, peace building and conflict management, environmental and water catchment conservation, governance issues and HIV/AIDS.
